Samaritan Pesach (Passover)

This year I got the opportunity to witness the Samaritan Passover sacrifice on Mount Gerizim, Israel. The Samaritan passover this year (2011) was April 17th. The Samaritans only number around 750 today, and consider themselves the true Israelites. Although their temple was destroyed in the 6th century CE, they continue to sacrifice the passover lambs in the same traditional manner every year.
